    ADOPTED TEEN JOURNEYS TO CHINA

Vote for this year’s best Snoop carols!

Snoopelf Alright, folks, tune up the singing voice in your head, OR sing them out loud. We need two winners! One from the new-tiquee category and one from the re-tiquee category. Votes must be placed by 11:59PM CST. Place them by commenting below with the appropriate numbers. Good luck, contestants (you may also vote, but please don’t vote for your own. No cheating)! In the event of a tie, Snoop will decide. Now let’s get into the bunny spirit and start bouncing to the holiday beat!

    New-tiquee category

#1 (Frosty the Snowman) Retitled: Snoop-snoop the Bunny

    Snoop-snoop the Bunny
    Is a jolly happy chap
With a button nose and a glossy coat
He loves to sit on Cynthea’s lap

    Snoop-snoop the Bunny
    Loves a fairytale some say
    But the children’s writers know
    That the story must flow
If they want Snoop to come and play

There has to be a plot and twist
    To make our snoop-snoop smile
For if a story has no “Umph!”
He’ll be chewing on it for a while

    Oh, Snoop-snoop the bunny
Is alive as he can be
    And the Snoop’s fans say
He eats tons of words a day
Just to help folks like you and me

He starts a game of freetique
And a game of Traffic Cop
He’ll give a green which means to GO!
Or give a red for STOP!

    Oh Snoop-Snoop the bunny
Has to hurry on his way
    But he wiggles goodbye
    Saying don’t you cry
I’ll be back again some day

    Thumpety thump thump
    Thumpety thump thump
    Look at Snoop-snoop go
    Thumpety thump thump
    Thumpety thump thump

SO go make those story-lines flow!!

    #2
    Christmas (Snoop Please Come Home)

    The snow it came down
    I watched it all fall
    But no footprints are found
    Snoop please come home

    The church bells in town
    All ringing his song
    We’re bunny hoppin’ around
    Snoop please come home

    [Chorus:]
    They’re singing “Deck The Halls”
But it’s not like Christmas at all
‘Cause I remember when you were here
And all the books we read last year

    Snoop please come home!
    Snoop please come home!

    #3 (Blue Christmas) SNOOP CHRISTMAS
    a solo for Cynthea

    I’ll have a Snoop Christmas
    Through and through
    Because I’m so crazy
    About you
Hanging carrots of orange on a tree that is green
And a tiny rabbit starring in my manger scene

And when those Snoop snowflakes start falling
That’s when the Snoop fan club starts calling
    You can grovel and pine
But he’s mine, yes, all mine
    Yes, *I’ll* have a Snoop, Snoop-Snoop-Snoop Christmas.

    #4 (Frosty the Snowman)
Frosty the Snowman was a really tasty treat
    With his corn cob pipe
    And a carrot ripe
He looked good enough to eat

Frosty the Snowman awoke to quite a shock
    To a long earred friend
    With a fluffy end
Who was asking “What’s up Doc?”

There must have been a ‘wabbit’ in that old silk hat they found
Cause when they placed it on his head, they could hear a crunching sound.

Frosty the Snowman is a better man today
    No more big nose jokes
    No more coughs from smokes
    It’s a Hoppy Christmas Day!
    Have a Hoppy Christmas Day!

#5 (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer) Snoop the Beige-Nosed Rabbit
    Sno-oop the beige-nosed rabbit
    Had a very runny nose
It was so sore and tender
‘Cause of all the times he blows

    All of the pretty rabbits
Used to laugh and call him names
    They never let poor Sno-oop
    Play their snugglebunny games

Then one late night on TV
    A commercial said
Just one pill and you will see
    Sinus trouble’s history
    (Commonsideeffectsincludedizzinessheadachesnauseaandthroatpain.A
    sudden decrease
    inbloodpressuremayoccuruponstandingrarelyresultinginfainting.)

Then all the rabbits loved him
To their party he did go
    Vixen the hottest rabbit
    Met him ‘neath the mistletoe

    Retiquee Category

    #6 (Have yourself a Snoop-filled, Bunny Christmas)

Have yourself a Snoop-filled, Bunny Christmas,
    Let the carrots fly,
    That candy cane hat,
kinda makes me want to cry…
Here I am, as in pointy ears,
As in fluffy tail of joy!
Faithful friends, gather on the couch,
    Gather on the couch…bring toys…

    #7 (Snoop Christmas)

I’m dreaming of a Snoop Christmas,
    a fuzzy wuzzy holiday.
    Where his cute eyes glisten
    and tall ears listen
    for Santa bringing yummy hay.

    #8 (Jingle Bells) Snooper Bun
    Snooper bun! Snooper bun!
    Bunnies all the way.
Oh what fun it is to be
    a bunny in a sleigh.

    #9 (Deck the Halls)
Deck the halls with lots of bunny food,
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Tis the time to feed that Snooper-dude
Fa la la la la, la la la la

Spread we now our fruit and veggies
Fa la la, la la la, la la la
    Don’t forget the cheesey wedgies
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

    #10 (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer) Snooper, the bright-tailed bun-deer
    Snooper the bright-tailed bun-deer
    had a very flashy tush
and if you ever saw it
you would even say ‘how plush!’

    Then one foggy Christmas Eve
    Santa came to say
“Snooper with your tush so bright
Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”

Then how the bun-deer loved him
As they shouted out with glee
    “Snooper the bright-tailed bun-deer
You’ll go down in bunny history!”

    #11 (Jingle Bells) Jingle Snoop
    Jingle Snoop Jingle Snoop
    Jingle through the halls
Oh what fun it is to scoot
    and eat up Christmas balls!

    #12 (White Christmas) Bunny Christmas

I’m dreaming of a Bunny Christmas!
Just like the ones I used to nose
    Where the salt licks glisten
    The rabbits listen
    To hear
    Hopping in the snow

    I’m dreaming of a Bunnnnny Christmas. . .
With every carrot that I crunch
May your nest be cozy and round
    And may all your Christmas
    . . .Joy. . .be found!

#13 (Hark, the bunnies hear on high)
Hark, the bunnies hear on high
    Hopping when the winter’s nigh
Moon on earth, and hay so soft
Glory is the hutch and loft

    Hail, the carrots awesome crunch!
Hail, the oats and stuff to munch
    Bunnies everywhere proclaim
    Every bunny has a name
Every bunny is some bunny. . .
    Every bunny sweet as honey

Hark the bunnies hear on high
    Hopping when the winter’s night
Moon on earth and hay so soft
Glory is the hutch and loft

#14 (We wish you a Bunny Christmas)

We wish you a Bunny Christmas
We wish you a Bunny Christmas
We wish you a Bunny Christmas
    and a Hoppy New Year

Now bring us some carrot pudding
Now bring us some carrot pudding
Now bring us some carrot pudding
    And put it right here

We won’t bounce until we get some
We won’t bounce until we get some
We won’t bounce until we get some
    So bring some right here

We wish you a Bunny Christmas
We wish you a Bunny Christmas
We wish you a Bunny Christmas
    and a Hoppy New Year!

New-tiquee– #4 because it scans, it’s witty, and it’s healthy, plus it tells a story that’s fun to visualize.

Re-tiquee– #12 Bunny Christmas because it’s punny (nose), warm-hearted, and very rabbit-like. “May your nest be cozy and round”–what bunny wouldn’t echo that sentiment? It scans, too, and fits the melody.

new-tique: # 5 (but it was very close with #4)
Made me laugh, scanned perfectly (=singeable)

re-tiquee: # 14 for the same reasons, plus it seems to reflect Snoop’s persona the best
