Now that you’ve sent out your writing stuff, this is what you need to do.
Pray. Pray to the Publishing God (PG).
C LIU has been kind enough to give you material for that prayer.
- Dear PG, I pray I have not inadvertently misspelled the editor’s or agent’s name
- Dear PG, I pray I have not forgotten to include the SASE (if required)
- Dear PG, I pray I have not sent Glorfied Agent’s or Editor’s letter to the wrong Glorified Agent or Editor
- Dear PG, I pray I have written something One Person (out of 6.5 billion) loves so much they’ll plunk down at least two bucks for it.
Phew! Alright, that’s enough. Get off your knees and go to step nine – wait.
